Though metal ions are essential components of many cellular functions, their overexposure to organisms lead to oxidative stress through the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Lipid peroxidation (LPX) is the oxidative deterioration of membrane lipids and considered as an index of oxidative stress.
