Mismatch negativity (MMN) and P300 to auditory stimuli was carried out using global field power (GFP) in 25 schizophrenics and 25 normal controls. The peak latencies of MMN and P300 were significantly longer in schizophrenics than in normal controls, and the differences in MMN were marked in the frontal regions. The peak amplitudes of MMN and P300 were significantly smaller in schizophrenics.
