OBJECTIVE To elucidate the pattern of corticospinal tract involvement in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), we analyzed motor evoked potential (MEP) waveforms and their relationship to the behaviour of single motor units using the peristimulus time histogram (PSTH) technique.
