In induction motor speed control, from a DC voltage source, pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques generate variable AC voltages (both amplitude and frequency). Space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) utilizes DC bus voltage more efficiently with less harmonic distortion in a three-phase voltage source inverter.
