To obtain the spatially resolved (31)P spectroscopic image from myocardium during an acute myocardium ischemia at a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in a very limited time window, we have exploited the spatial variation of the radiofrequency (RF) field produced by a single loop transmit/receive (TR) RF coil along its axis for spatial discrimination.
