The purpose of this study was to initially test the psychometric properties of an adolescent and young adult condom self-efficacy scale. The sample consisted of 209 participants (13 to 26 years old) who voluntarily completed a 19-item scale. The items were developed based on a review of the literature and a review by experts in adolescents' and young adults' condom use. Item analysis was conducted and five items were deleted.
