Millions of individuals worldwide are suffering from orodental problems in spite of most of them being preventable. Malocclusion is one of them. Malocclusion is not a disease but a morphological variation which may or may not be associated with pathological conditions. Malocclusion is one of the most prevalent oral pathologies, next only to dental caries and periodontal disease and usually ranked third among worldwide public health dental disease priorities [1].
