OpenMusic is a visual programming environment for composers based on Macintosh Common Lisp. It extends the functionalities of PatchWork to full object oriented programming and provides a high level control on the musical form. The Musical Research Group at Ircam has conceived and developed computer based systems to help composers treat certain aspects of musical composition.
