—PSO algorithm is an efficient, faster and robust optimization method in solving nonlinear problems. This paper presents an inverse kinematics solution based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) for six-jointed robot manipulator. The inverse kinematics problem of a six-jointed robot manipulator have transformed into an optimization problem and then used the PSO algorithm to obtain an optimal inverse kinematics solution by taking advantage of the global optimization property.
