We consider experimental evidence for the hypothesis that the energy scale ǫ at which non-linear deviations from Schrödinger dynamics associated with wave-function collapse will be observed is the Planck energy E p ≈ 10 19 GeV. With a few plausible assumptions about the collapse process, we first show that the observed CP violation in K L decay implies a lower bound on this scale remarkably close to E p and thus twenty-eight orders of magnitude higher than the bound one could conceivably have… CONTINUE READING
