ST-2 is a revision of an experimental protocol designed to support applications which require guaranteed network services. ST-2 provides mechanisms for creating streams, treeshaped delivery paths with performance guarantees, for applications which require such guarantees. Aspart of the MultiG project, the authors implemented ST-2 in the BSD UNIX system.
