In this paper we propose an axiomatization for the notion of strong emergence phenomenon between field theories depending on additional parameters, which we call parameterized field theories. We present sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of such phenomena between two given Lagrangian theories. More precisely, we prove that a Lagrangian field theory depending linearly on an additional parameter emerges from every multivariate polynomial theory evaluated at differential operators which… Expand

Towards Axiomatization and General Results on Strong Emergence Phenomena Between Lagrangian Field Theories
In this paper we propose a formal definition of what is a strong emergence phenomenon between two parameterized field theories and we present sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of suchExpand
On Maximal, Universal and Complete Extensions of Yang-Mills-Type Theories
In this paper we continue the program on the classification of extensions of the Standard Model of Particle Physics started in arXiv:2007.01660. We propose four complementary questions to beExpand
Contravariant geometry and emergent gravity from noncommutative gauge theories
We investigate a relation of the contravariant geometry to the emergent gravity from noncommutative gauge theories. We give a refined formulation of the contravariant gravity and provide solutions toExpand
String theory and noncommutative geometry
We extend earlier ideas about the appearance of noncommutative geometry in string theory with a nonzero B-field. We identify a limit in which the entire string dynamics is described by a minimallyExpand
Topological and geometric obstructions on Einstein–Hilbert–Palatini theories
Abstract In this article we introduce A -valued Einstein–Hilbert–Palatini functional ( A -EHP) over a n -manifold M , where A is an arbitrary graded algebra, as a generalization of the functionalExpand
Exact Seiberg–Witten map, induced gravity and topological invariants in non-commutative field theories
Abstract We revisit the exact Seiberg–Witten (SW) map on Dirac–Born–Infeld actions, making a connection with the deformation quantization scheme. The picture on field dependent induced gravity fromExpand
Reduction, Emergence and Renormalization
The main point is that the modern understanding of how renormalizability is a generic feature of quantum field theories at accessible energies gives us a conceptually unified family of Nagelian reductions. Expand
We showed before that self-dual electromagnetism in noncommutative (NC) space–time is equivalent to self-dual Einstein gravity. This result implies a striking picture about gravity: gravity canExpand
Emergent Noncommutative gravity from a consistent deformation of gauge theory
Starting from a standard noncommutative gauge theory and using the Seiberg-Witten map, we propose a new version of a noncommutative gravity. We use consistent deformation theory starting from a freeExpand
Noncommutative field theories and gravity
Abstract We show that after the Seiberg–Witten map is performed the action for noncommutative field theories can be regarded as a coupling to a field dependent gravitational background. ThisExpand
