This paper described the energy-transfer amplified singlet oxygen generation in semiconductor polymer dots (Pdots) for in vitro and in vivo photodynamic therapy. Hydrophobic photosensitizer tetraphenylporphyrin was facilely doped in the nanoparticles consisting of densely packed semiconductor polymers.
