were isolated by Ficoll–Hypaque sedimentation and extracted DNA was modified for MSP by bisulfite using the CpGenome DNA Modification Kit (Intergen, Purchase, USA). SOCS-1 gene promoter regions were amplified with DNA methylated and unmethylated specific primers as previously described. A total of 51 samples of MM bone marrow cells were analyzed by MSP.
