OBJECTIVE To compare the genetic environments of ampC genes in different Acinetobacter baumannii isolates showing different levels of beta-lactam resistance. METHODS The patterns of beta-lactam resistance and beta-lactamase production were investigated for 42 A. baumannii clinical strains.
