  • INTRODUCTION The human nervous system is an extremely complex structure, having billions of nerve cells or neurons [1]. Central nervous system (CNS) is a vital organ system [2-4]. Nerve cells of the central nervous system rarely divides after differentiation [5]. Neurodegeneration term refers to progressive loss of neurons.
