We investigated the molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of three inflammatory myopathies, dermatomyositis (DM), polymyositis (PM) and inclusion body myositis (IBM). We performed microarray experiments(†) using microdissected pathological muscle fibres from 15 patients with these disorders and five controls.
