Allopodocotyle tunisiensis sp. nov. is described from the intestine of Solea aegyptiaca Chabanaud collected from the Gulf of Gabès in the Mediterranean Sea off Tunisia. The new species belongs to the group C of Allopodocotyle Pritchard, 1966 species (sensu Bray 1987). It differs from its congeners in this group by the shape of the seminal vesicle and the anterior extend of the vitellarium which varies between just posterior to the ventral sucker and anterior margin. Allopodocotyle enkaimushi n. sp. (Digenea: Opecoelidae: Plagioporinae) from the Short-Tail Grenadier, Nezumia proxima (Gadiformes: Macrouridae), from Sagami Bay, Japan, with a Key to Species of This Genus and a Checklist of Parasites Reported from This Host
The combination of tandem testes, an entirely pre-acetabular cirrus pouch, and a pre-bifurcal genital pore distinguishes A. enkaimushi n.
Seasonality of Amyloodinium ocellatum Brown 1931 (Dinophyceae) infesting the Senegalese sole Solea senegalensis from Bizerte lagoon, Tunisia.
A parasitological study was carried out to follow the seasonal variations of prevalence and mean intensity of A. ocellatum, the most pathogenic protozoan parasite affecting the culture of marine and brackish water fish in Tunisia.
Morphology, seasonality and phylogeny of Zschokkella soleae sp. n. (Myxozoa, Myxosporea) parasite of Solea solea (L.) (Pleuronectiformes, Soleidae) from Ghar El Melh Lagoon, Tunisia.
Morphology, histology as well as DNA sequence analysis indicate that the examined species differs from all previously described Zschokkella species.
