Alloplasmic wheat, Triticum aestivum cv. Norin 26, with Aegilops crassa cytoplasm, shows photoperiod-sensitive cytoplasmic male sterility (PCMS). This alloplasmic line expresses pistillody of anthers only when grown in long-day conditions (>15 h light).
