Certain anomalies in the CMB bring out a tension between the six-parameter flat $\Lambda$CDM model and the CMB data. We revisit the PLANCK analysis with loop quantum cosmology (LQC) predictions and show that LQC alleviates both the large-scale power anomaly and the tension in the lensing amplitude. These differences arise because, in LQC, the primordial power spectrum is scale dependent for small $k$, with a specific power suppression. We conclude with a prediction of larger optical depth and…

Large scale anomalies in the CMB and non-Gaussianity in bouncing cosmologies
We propose that several of the anomalies that have been observed at large angular scales in the CMB have a common origin in a cosmic bounce that took place before the inflationary era. The bounce

Analytical investigation of pre-inflationary effects in the primordial power spectrum: from General Relativity to hybrid Loop Quantum Cosmology

Primordial perturbations in kinetically dominated regimes of general relativity and hybrid quantum cosmology
Scalar fields with an energy density dominated by its kinetic part may have played a relevant role in the very early stages of the Universe. Compared to the standard inflationary paradigm, they may
Hybrid Loop Quantum Cosmology: An Overview

Quantum isotropy and the reduction of dynamics in Bianchi I
The authors previously introduced a diffeomorphism-invariant definition of a homogeneous and isotropic sector of loop quantum gravity (LQG), along with a program to embed loop quantum cosmology (LQC)

Loop quantum cosmology, non-Gaussianity, and CMB power asymmetry
We argue that the anomalous power asymmetry observed in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) may have originated in a cosmic bounce preceding inflation. In loop quantum cosmology (LQC), the big bang

Non-Gaussianity in loop quantum cosmology
We extend the phenomenology of loop quantum cosmology (LQC) to second order in perturbations. Our motivation is twofold. On the one hand, since LQC predicts a cosmic bounce that takes place at the
