Aggregate nearest neighbor queries in spatial databases

Abstract

Given two spatial datasets <i>P</i> (e.g., facilities) and <i>Q</i> (queries), an <i>aggregate nearest neighbor</i> (ANN) query retrieves the point(s) of <i>P</i> with the smallest aggregate distance(s) to points in <i>Q</i>.
