The genus Pegesimallus Loew, 1858 (now including Lagodias Loew, 1858 and Neolaparus Williston, 1889) is revised. All previously descriptionbed species, including those from outside the Afrotropical region, are considered. Keys to genera and species are provided. New genera. Brevirostrum (for Neolaparus coei Oldroyd - Nepal); Caroncoma (for Neolaparus atrimaculatus Oldroyd - Madagascar). New combinations.
