To elucidate the fate of a new sulfonylurea herbicide, LGC-42153 [N-((4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl)-2-(1-methoxyacetoxy-2-fluoropropyl)-3-pyridinesulfonamide], in soil, an aerobic soil metabolism study was carried out for 120 days with [(14)C]LGC-42153 applied to a loamy soil. The material balance ranged from 90.7 to 101.5% of applied herbicide. The half-life of [(14)C]LGC-42153 was calculated to be approximately 9.0 days. The degradation products resulted from the cleavage of the… Expand
Soil metabolism of [14C]methiozolin under aerobic and anaerobic flooded conditions.
Results from this study suggest that methiozolin is considered to undergo fast degradation by aerobic microbes, but not by anaerobic microbes in soil. Expand
Research on controllable degradation of sulfonylurea herbicides
In order to seek ecologically safer and environmentally benign sulfonylurea herbicides (SU), insight into the structure/bioassay/soil degradation tri-factor relationship was first established. WithExpand
Photocatalytic transformations of aminopyrimidines on TiO2 in aqueous solution
Abstract The photocatalytic degradation in aqueous solution of aminopyrimidines (2-aminopyrimidine, 4-aminopyrimidine, 4-methyl-2-aminopyrimidine, 2,6-dimethoxy-4-aminopyrimidine) on TiO2 has beenExpand

Field studies on persistence of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl in soil, ground water and residues in transplanted rice
Field experiment was conducted at Zonal Agricultural Research center, Kathalagere, during Kharif 2008. To study persistence and residues of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl in soil and ground water inExpand
The microbial degradation of azimsulfuron and its effect on the soil bacterial community
Azimsulfuron is a recently introduced sulfonylurea herbicide useful in controlling weeds in paddy fields and its biodegradation both in slurry soil microcosms and in batch tests with mixed and pure cultures. Expand
Performance of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl in non-puddled transplanted rainy season rice and its residual effect on growth of the succeeding crop in rice-wheat cropping pattern
Application of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl followed by post-emergence herbicide could be effective and economic to control weeds in NPST rice under rice-wheat system, but proper rate and time of application should strictly be followed. Expand
Researches using radio-labelled Herbicide in Korea
The research results using radio-labelled herbicides performed by Korean researchers were reviewed. All the research works were used 14 C-labelled chemicals and generally carried out to know theExpand
Seeds vs fungi: an enzymatic battle in the soil seedbank
Application of genomic, proteomic and transcriptomic techniques to glean a deeper and more holistic understanding of the enzymatic interactions of weed seeds and soil fungi in the soil seedbank will support the development of improved integrated weed management strategies. Expand
