In this paper a single phase high frequency AC (HFAC) microgrid is presented as an exciting step towards integrating renewable energy sources in a distributed generation system. A very important task in the microgrid is to control the power flow between the microgrid and the local grid, which can be accomplished by using an active filtering solution called universal active power line conditioner (UPLC).
