The Nine Hole Peg Test is commonly used by occupational therapists as a simple, quick assessment for finger dexterity. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the interrater and test-retest reliability of the commercially available Smith & Nephew Rehabilitation Division version of the Nine Hole Peg Test, and to establish new adult norms for the Nine Hole Peg Test for finger dexterity utilizing this particular version. Two of the researchers established interrater and test-retest reliability…

Measuring Hand Dexterity in People With Parkinson's Disease: Reliability of Pegboard Tests.
TLDR
Results suggest that the 9-Hole Peg Test and Purdue Pegboard Test may be a more reliable measure of dexterity loss in people with PD.
The 9-Hole Peg Test of Upper Extremity Function: Average Values, Test-Retest Reliability, and Factors Contributing to Performance in People With Parkinson Disease
TLDR
The 9HPT appears to be a clinically useful measure for assessing upper extremity function in individuals with PD and has advantages over previously used methods including standardization, known normative values for healthy controls, commercial availability, transportability, and ease of administration.
Test-retest reliability of the twenty-five-hole peg test in patients who had a stroke
TLDR
The smallest change that can be detected in the TFHPT should be just above two pegs for a test procedure including an average of three trials, as quantified by the smallest real difference (SRD).

Test-Retest Reliability and Convergent Validity of a Computer Based Hand Function Test Protocol in People with Arthritis
TLDR
Initial evidence is presented on the test retest reliability and convergent validity of a computer based hand function assessment protocol in people with rheumatoid arthritis or hand osteoarthritis.
Validity and test–retest reliability of a measure of hand sensibility and manual dexterity in people with multiple sclerosis: the ReSense test
TLDR
The ReSense is a valid tool developed for testing sensing properties of the hand in PwMS and the sensitivity and specificity values of this tool will assist the clinician to formulate decisions related to rehabilitation management of his/her patient.

Adult Norms for the Nine Hole Peg Test of Finger Dexterity
TLDR
Standardized procedures for the Nine Hole Peg Test of finger dexterity were established, females scored slightly better than males, finger dexterity decreased with age, and right-hand and left-hand dominant subjects demonstrated minimal differences in performance.
