Electrical stimulation of the preganglionic cervical sympathetic nerve produced ocular vasoconstrictor responses as measured from the anterior choroid of anesthetized cats using laser-Doppler flowmetry. Ipsilateral nictitating membrane contractions were simultaneously measured as an established index of neural sympathetic activation.
