OBJECTIVE To investigate the incidence of adrenal involvement and survival in patients with renal cell carcinoma. PATIENTS AND METHODS A retrospective, multicentre trial was initiated by the Austrian Association of Urologic Oncology (AUO); between January 1980 and December 1984, 225 patients were eligible for the study.
