Twenty patients with colon cancer metastatic to the liver underwent successful hepatic resection and adjuvant perioperative therapy that included hepatic arterial mitomycin C and floxuridine (FUDR). The median survival for all 20 patients was 51 months: 10 are still alive with a median postoperative follow-up of 49 months; 6 are disease-free with a median postoperative follow-up of 43 months.
