BACKGROUND This pilot study assessed the effect of short-duration treatment with etoricoxib as adjuvant therapy to scaling and root planing (SRP) on the clinical and radiographic parameters and prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)) levels in aggressive periodontitis.
