A bstractWe investigate QCD with adjoint Dirac fermions on ℝ3 × S1 with generic boundary conditions for fermions along S1. By means of perturbation theory, semiclassical methods and a chiral effective model, we elucidate a rich phase structure in the space spanned by the S1 compactification scale L, twisted fermionic boundary condition ϕ and the fermion mass m. We found various phases with or without chiral and center symmetry breaking, separated by first- and second-order phase transitions…

Symmetry crossover protecting chirality in Dirac spectra

A bstractWe consider a random matrix model in the hard edge limit (local spectral statistics at the origin in the limit of large matrix size) which interpolates between the Gaussian unitary ensemble

Deconfinement on ℝ2×SL1×Sβ1 for all gauge groups and duality to double Coulomb gas

Anomaly constraints on deconfinement and chiral phase transition

We study constraints on thermal phase transitions of ${\rm SU}(N_c)$ gauge theories by using the 't Hooft anomaly involving the center symmetry and chiral symmetry. We consider two cases of massless

Bose-Fermi cancellations without supersymmetry

We show that adjoint QCD features very strong Bose-Fermi cancellations in the large-N limit, despite the fact that it is manifestly nonsupersymmetric. The difference between the bosonic and fermionic

Global symmetries, volume independence and continuity

We discuss quantum field theories with global SU(N) andO(N) symmetries for which the temporal direction is compactified on a circle of size L with periodicity of fields up to a global symmetry

Symmetry crossover protecting chirality in Dirac spectra

We consider a random matrix model in the hard edge limit (local spectral statistics at the origin in the limit of large matrix size) which interpolates between the Gaussian unitary ensemble (GUE) and

A bstractWe investigate the properties of the background gauge field configurations that act as disorder for the Anderson localization mechanism in the Dirac spectrum of QCD at high temperatures. We

Anderson localization in high temperature QCD: background configuration properties and Dirac eigenmodes

We investigate the properties of the background gauge field configurations that act as disorder for the Anderson localization mechanism in the Dirac spectrum of QCD at high temperatures. We compute

Fractional θ angle, ’t Hooft anomaly, and quantum instantons in charge-q multi-flavor Schwinger model

A bstractThis work examines non-perturbative dynamics of a 2-dimensional QFT by using discrete ’t Hooft anomaly, semi-classics with circle compactification and bosonization. We focus on charge-q

Consistency of $\chi$SB in chiral Yang-Mills theory with adiabatic continuity

We study the pattern of chiral symmetry breaking ( χ SB) in the ψχη model (with the chiral fermion sector containing ψ { ij } , χ [ ij ] , and η Ai , see [1]) on R 3 × S 1 L and derive implications
