Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted predominantly by differentiated adipocytes and involved in energy homeostasis. Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) plays important roles in osteoblastic differentiation and bone formation. However, the effects of adiponectin on BMPs expression in cultured osteoblasts are largely unknown.
