In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy PID controller is designed to improve the control performance of the resistance furnace, and then is applied to a remote temperature control system based on modbus/TCP industrial Ethernet via OPC communication. The adaptive PID controller is developed by the fuzzy toolbox in Matlab.
