An experiment was conducted to study the response of three chicken lines with different HSP 70 genotypes to acute heat stress. Twenty eight kampong chicken (native chicken, with seven genotypes i.e., AA, AB, AC, CC, AD, DD and BC) and twenty four Arabic chicken (with six genotypes i.e., AA, AB, AC, CC, AD and BC) and four commercial chickens (with one genotype i.e., DD) were used and randomly allocated in a factorial arrangement into groups which their HSP 70 genotypes had been identified…

Hematological Response of Chickens with Different Heat Shock Protein 70 Genotypes to Acute Heat Stress

It was found that there was no interaction between lines of chicken and acute heatstress exposure on the hematological parameters measured and there was a relationship of heat resistance or tolerance to lymphocyte expression.

Association of heat shock protein 70 gene polymorphisms with acute thermal tolerance, growth, and egg production traits of native chickens in Taiwan

Examination of physiological responses to acute heat stress associated with different genotypes of the HSP70 gene found neither respiratory rate nor cloacal temperature displayed a significant association with the genotypes.

Heat Treatment at an Early Age Has Effects on the Resistance to Chronic Heat Stress on Broilers

Exposure of early Heat stress (HS) to broilers may affect the inflammatory response; however, early heat exposure did not have a positive effect on chronic HS of liver enzymes and heat shock protein expression.

Heat Shock Protein and Thermal Stress in Chicken

This chapter discusses the findings on cellular HSP responses to heat stress and the thermal manipulation strategy to overcome heat stress in chicken.

Molecular investigations of the effect of thermal manipulation during embryogenesis on muscle heat shock protein 70 and thermotolerance in broiler chickens

Thigh muscle thermot tolerance acquisition was higher than pectoral muscle during thermal challenge at 43 °C for 6 h, suggesting that TM during ED7–11 may improve thermotolerance acquisition without adversely affecting performance.

Rosemary Reduces Heat Stress by Inducing CRYAB and HSP70 Expression in Broiler Chickens

Purified rosemary extract could induce high levels of HSP70 and CRYAB in chicken hearts before and during heat stress, and could be used to alleviate heat stress in broiler chickens.

Comparison of Stress Response in Diallel Crossed Korean Domestic Chicken Breeds

According to the results on the stress marker analysis, it would be considered that the crossed breeds had more stress resistant than the pure breeds, and the crossed chickens with a light strain such as W or Y were relatively resistant to stress, but the crossed chicken breeds with a heavy strainsuch as G, H, F were susceptible to stress.

Heat shock protein 70 gene polymorphism in KU–Phupan black–bone chicken

The locus C and the candidate genotype of hsp 70 gene could be used as genetic marker related with heat tolerance for selection and breeding program of KU–Phuphan black-bone chicken to create heat tolerance chickens.

Many of the study in poultry suggested that HSP-70 might be involved in cellular protection in adverse situations, and a relationship between the development between this protein and thermo-tolerance has been established.

The effect of dietary phosphorus on heat shock protein mRNAs during acute heat stress in male broiler chickens (Gallus gallus).

Effect of Acute Heat Stress on Heat Shock Protein 70 and Its Corresponding mRNA Expression in the Heart, Liver, and Kidney of Broilers

The expression of hsp70 mRNA in the heart, liver and kidney of heat-stressed broilers increased significantly and attained the highest level after a 2-h exposure to elevated temperatures, indicating that the stress-induced responses vary among different tissues.

Changes in heat shock protein 70 expression and blood characteristics in transported broiler chickens as affected by housing and early age feed restriction.

The results suggest that the improved tolerance to transport stress in OH and FR chicks could be associated with better hsp 70 expression.

Keragaman Gen Heat Shock Protein 70 pada Ayam Kampung, Ayam Arab, dan Ayam Ras (POLYMORPHISMS OF THE HEAT SHOCK PROTEIN 70 GENE IN KAMPONG, ARABIC, AND COMMERCIAL CHICKENS)

Genotyping results using PCR-SSCP analysis showed that kampong and arabic chickens were polimorphic, while commercial chickens were classified as monomorphic, and HSP-70 gene in kampung and arABic chicken population in this study was in equilibrium.

Crating and heat stress influence blood parameters and heat shock protein 70 expression in broiler chickens showing short or long tonic immobility reactions.

Although differences between fear responder group for HSP 70 were negligible before heat challenge, after 3 h of heat exposure, the response was greater for the HF than the LF group, and both LF and HF showed similar increases in H SP 70 after crating.

genetic evaluation of the HSP 70 protein in the japanese quail ( Coturnix japonica )

A 960-bp portion of HSP70 was amplified using oligonucleotide primers specific for chickens and showed 98% homology with HSP 70 stress protein in Gallus gallus and 99% homological with Numida meleageris.

Effect of acute heat stress on heat shock protein 70 messenger RNA and on heat shock protein expression in the liver of broilers.

This study shows that the heat induced increase in Hsp70 mRNA and protein in broiler liver, in vivo, are time dependent, similar to that in mammals.

Effect of Chronic Heat Stress on Broiler Performance in Jordan

The results showed that, growth rate, body gain, feed consumption and feed efficiency were significantly reduced of 4-8 week old broilers reared in hot-closed environment and variable- o natural temperature in open-sided environment.

Genetic evaluation of the HSP70 protein in the Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica).

A 960-bp portion of HSP70 was amplified using oligonucleotide primers specific for chickens and showed 98% homology with HSP 70 stress protein in Gallus gallus and 99% homological with Numida meleageris.
