Human endometrium contains specific binding sites for iodinated endothelin (ET)-1, ET-2 and ET-3, and ET-1 stimulates prostaglandin (PG) F2 alpha synthesis from explants of proliferative endometrium in short-term culture. This study has investigated the cellular responses of normal proliferative endometrium to ET-1.
