Recently, substantial evidence has accumulated that the G-protein-coupled, extracellular calcium (Ca(2+)(o))-sensing receptor (CaR) is expressed in bone marrow-derived cells, including osteoblasts, stromal cells, monocytes-macrophages, and osteoclast precursor cells.
