Cholinergic anti-inflammatory actions have been shown to result mainly from the activation of α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Here, we investigated the possible role of α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the pathogenesis of indomethacin-induced small intestinal ulceration in mice.
