Histotripsy is a tissue ablation method that utilizes focused, high-amplitude ultrasound to generate a cavitation bubble cloud that mechanically fractionates tissue. Effective histotripsy depends on the initiation, control, and maintenance of cavitation bubble clouds in the targeted area.
