In this study, a novel acetylcholinesterase (AChE) biosensor was developed based on dual-layer membranes (chitosan membrane and prussian blue membrane) modifying glassy carbon electrode (GCE). A chitosan membrane was used for immobilizing AChE through glutaraldehyde cross-linking attachment to recognize pesticides selectively.
