Accumulation of inositol in hibernating adults of some ladybird species, J-Iellosepilacll11a pustulosa (1.9% of body weight), Eocaria nUllrl (l.8%), Prapylea japanica (l.6 %), Halyzia sedecimguttata (l.5%), and a chrysomelid species Paridea angulicaliis (2.3%) is reported.
