Abstract The primary aim of this manuscript is to present an in-depth description of perceived personally meaningful uplifts as reported by older adults in nursing home settings. In this cross-sectional, descriptive study, a sample (N = 93) of cognitively intact older adult nursing home residents reporting poor physical health and limited physical function described recent uplifts in response to an open-ended question.
