Deregulation of RNA processing contributes to cancer progression and drug resistance. As a major driver of coding and noncoding transcriptomic diversity, adenosine deaminase associated with RNA1 (ADAR1) induces hydrolytic deamination of adenosines (A) to inosines (I) in response to proinflammatory cytokines elicited by viral infection or malignant microenvironments.
