The experimental results of the studies on the absorption and desorption of organic liquids in elastic superhydrophobic silica aerogels, are reported. The elastic superhydrophobic aerogels were prepared using methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) precursor by a two-step sol-gel process followed by supercritical drying.
