A 5 mm pancreatic heterotopia was incidentally identified in the gall-bladder with small cholesterol polyps following cholecystectomy in an asymptomatic 49-year-old female. Microscopically, inflammatory changes in the wall were minimal. The aberrant tissue consisted of acini and ducts but did not have islet formation.
