Malignant soft tissue tumors other than rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) are uncommon in infancy, representing approximately 5% of pediatric sarcomas. The pathological categorization of non-RMS soft tissue malignancies from these young patients is complicated by variation in both morphologic and immunohistochemical features.
