Objectives: To assess the prevalence of aberrant expression of CD markers in acute leukemias. Study Design: It was a retrospective study. Place and Duration of the Study: It was conducted at Chughtai’s Lahore Lab, Lahore. Materials and Methods: In the present study flow cytometry was used for immunophenotyping in 50 cases of acute leukemia. Of these 23 cases were of AML and 27 of ALL . 3ml peripheral blood or bone marrow aspirate samples were taken in vials containing ethylenediamine tetra… Expand
Aberrant immunophenotypic expressions in acute lymphoid leukemia: an observational analytical study
TLDR
In B-ALL, the most common aberration was myeloid antigen positivity followed by cross-lineage Tantigen expression, and no association with adverse hematological parameters or any significant increase in cytogenetic and molecular abnormality was noted in cases expressing Aberrant antigen in comparison to cases not expressing aberrant antigens. Expand
Expression of aberrant antigens in hematological malignancies: A single center experience
TLDR
Variability in aberrant phenotype expression was observed in different types of acute and chronic leukemia patients with no prognostic implications on treatment response. Expand
SPECTRUM OF ACUTE LEUKEMIAS AND ABERRANT MARKERS EXPRESSION BASED ON FLOWCYTOMETRY IN A TERTIARY CARE CENTRE
TLDR
Aberrant CD markers expression must be kept in mind during lineage assignment of acute leukemias while performing flow cytometric immunophenotyping, according to this study. Expand
Aberrant Antigen Expression in Patients with Acute Leukemias : Experience of King Hussein Medical Center in Jordan
TLDR
The incidence of aberrant antigen expression in acute leukemia was comparable with most published international data and may represent a poor prognostic indicator among this group of Jordanian patients. Expand

A Study of Aberrant Phenotypes in Acute Leukemia by Flowcytometry
TLDR
Aberrant phenotypes were frequently expressed in acute leukemias and seen more commonly in AML than ALL, demonstrating the existence of aberrant leukemic associated phenotypes can become a valuable tool for the detection of minimal residual disease however its prognostic importance need to be further evaluated. Expand
Characterization of Immunophenotypic Aberrancies in Adult and Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: Lessons from Regional Variation
TLDR
Significant differences were observed in antigen-expression patterns between adult and childhood ALLs and further studies are needed to correlate specific markers with recurrent cytogenetic abnormalities and prognosis with therapeutic response. Expand
Impact of Aberrant Antigens in the Outcome of Patients with Acute Leukemia at a Referral Institution in Mexico City.
TLDR
The use of more aggressive treatment strategies could be considered in patients with acute leukemia and an aberrant expression of CD10, CD20, and CD33, which correlated with a worse outcome in a statistically significant manner. Expand
Flow Cytometric Immunophenotyping of Acute Leukaemia in Adult and Its Comparison with Cytomorphology
Background: Immunophenotyping has become an inseparable tool for precise characterization of acute leukemia (AL), which is the corner stone of therapeutic success in these cases. There is paucity ofExpand
Aberrant immunophenotypes in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
TLDR
Some aspects of aberrant immunophenotypes are addressed, including definition, epidemiology, and potential uses, in this review of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Expand

Aberrant phenotypes in acute myeloid leukemia: a high frequency and its clinical significance.
TLDR
It is concluded that aberrant phenotypes, as they are described here, are present in the great majority of cases of AML, asynchronous antigen expression being the most frequent example; and that CD117(+) CD15(+) phenotype shows a relevant association with clinical prognosis. Expand
[Characteristics of T-cell lineage immunophenotype in 95 patients with acute lymphoid leukemia].
TLDR
It is concluded that immunophenotype has great value in T-ALL diagnosis, classification as well as treatment and flow cytometry provides access to find valuable immunologic markers for T-all biological research. Expand
Aberrant expression of T-cell markers in acute myeloid leukemia.
TLDR
The data indicate that CD2 and CD7 may be frequently expressed at greater intensities than WHO specified, and point to the need for a more extensive study to evaluate the potential prognostic significance of aberrant T-cell marker expression in AML. Expand
Aberrant expression of CD7, CD56, and CD79a antigens in acute myeloid leukemias.
TLDR
The aberrant expression of CD7, CD56, and CD79a, representing the capacity of these leukemias for trilineal expression of leukocyte differentiation antigens, portends a poor prognosis. Expand
[Distribution of antigenic aberration in the bone marrow of acute leukemia in complete remission].
TLDR
Using an immunophenotypic method for the detection of early relapse or minimal residual disease of B-lineage ALL bone marrow in CR after chemotherapy, different cutoff values should be applied according to antigen combination and gating. Expand
Immunophenotypic profile of adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML): analysis of 267 cases in Thailand.
TLDR
It was found that most Thai adult AML patients were on average 15-20 years younger than those of the West or Japan with only 25% of Thai cases over 60 years of age, although the immunophenotypes were not markedly different. Expand
Lineage differentiation of canine lymphoma/leukemias and aberrant expression of CD molecules.
TLDR
It is shown for the first time co-expression of B- and T-cell markers on lymphoma cells that had specific T- or B-cell gene rearrangements, and aberrant CD molecule expression is not an uncommon finding in canine lymphomas and is a useful diagnostic marker for malignancy. Expand
Immunophenotypic, Cytogenetic, and Clinical Features of 207 Cases of Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in China
TLDR
The distribution of ALL in Chinese children was similar to the general distribution pattern in other countries, and the percentage of patients with a high WBC count and CD34 positivity in MyAg+ was higher than that in My Ag– ALL types, but no differences were found with regard to other clinical features. Expand
Aberrant myeloid marker expression in precursor B-cell and T-cell leukemias.
TLDR
These markers portend a poor prognosis compared to ALL cases without myeloid antigens, and a poor response to drug therapies targeting conventional ALL, according to the present investigation. Expand
