PURPOSE Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the malignancies most resistant to radiation therapy. In contrast, cells derived from individuals with ataxia telangiectasia (AT), possessing mutations in the ATM gene, demonstrate increased sensitivity to ionizing radiation.
