Fourteen samples of yoghurt brands( Y/01/16- Y/14/16) sold by supermarkets, retail shops, restaurants, hawkers, and dairy shops in Eldoret town and around Chepkoilel area, Uasin Gishu County were assessed. Microbiological properties (total fungal load and total bacterial load) and physiochemical properties (temperature and Ph) were analyzed in order to ascertain contamination by determination of the total yeast count, heterotrophic bacterial count and coliforms during a two weeks period.
