Free pectinase is unable to be reused, therefore pectinase is needed to immobilize in certain matrix.This research studies about optimum conditions of pectinase immobilization in Ca-alginate-chitosan. Pectinase was isolated from Bacillus subtilis with fractional purification method using ammonium sulphate saturation of 20–60%, followed by dialysis.
