The purpose of this investigation is to characterize parvalbumin-immunoreactive (PV-IR) amacrine cells in bat retina through immunocytochemistry, quantitative analysis, and confocal microscopy. PV immunoreactivity was present in ganglion cell and inner nuclear layers.
