ATPase and ATP-dependent calcium ion concentration was studied with a membrane fraction isolated from homogenized rabbit skeletal muscle by differential centrifugation. Electron micrographs of the fraction indicate that it consists mainly of resealed tubules and vesicles of the endoplasmic reticulum.
